The long wave infrared heat produced by this emitter will warm reptiles very efficiently. It also increases the ambient air-temperature in the terrarium. Infrared heat penetrates the scales and skin tissue, promoting health and healing as it widens the blood vessels and increases blood circulation.
These ceramic heat emitters are excellent for creating hot spots in parts of the terrarium. Like in nature the heat is coming from the ceiling and recreates natural conditions for the animals inside the terrarium.
